COCC purchased an abandoned office building in Southington with plans to relocate its rapidly expanding workforce from their Avon location.  The dilapidated building was completely gutted and renovated to provide a fresh start. Tecton worked with COCC to incorporate their logo and branding colors into the design, to deliver a space that wordlessly conveys the brand. The modern approach to design mimics COCC’s cutting-edge technology products, merged with a traditional clientele.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

• Private offices located on exterior walls were minimized and glass interior walls maximized to provide a bright, open environment with exterior views throughout.
• Low workstation panel heights allow natural light to infiltrate the entire space.
• Sound masking technology and highly absorptive acoustical ceiling tiles maintain a quiet work atmosphere, despite the lower panels.
• Strategically placed out-of-the-way casual areas minimize distraction to nearby workers.
