Connecticut Forensic Science Laboratory - Meriden, CT

The Connecticut Forensic Science Laboratory is designed to offer the highest level of scientific technology to all state-wide forensic divisions in a single location. The new laboratory currently houses the divisions of computer crimes, central evidence processing, controlled substance, and toxicology with space for future growth as forensic technology advances.

In planning the new facility, Tecton incorporated innovative features to meet the quality, safety, and efficiency standards of each division. The facility also includes a new evidence receiving area separated from the public entry lobby, a convenient cross-through atrium that joins the addition to the existing building, and administrative support offices and conference spaces.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

• Incorporates state-of-the-art technologies to serve the Computer Crimes, Central Evidence Processing, Controlled Substance and Toxicology divisions.
• Maximum flexibility and mobility of workspaces achieved through use of mobile data and power systems and specially designed lab benches.
