The Eversource Energy (formerly Northeast Utilities) Service Center in Hartford is a historically significant 1920’s three-story brick clad building.  Tecton completed a meticulous interior and exterior renovation.

The 84,000 SF Service Center is a showcase for energy efficiency and sustainable design and exceeds LEED-Silver certification guidelines. The overall energy goal was to reduce their annual energy cost by at least 60%. This is met by the incorporation of exposed convection chilled beam technology throughout the offices. Energy modeling for the envelope indicated that the building will perform 17% better than a new building designed to current energy code standards.

• Daylighting and exposed convection cooling systems enhance energy efficiency.
• Exterior renovations include new windows, new aluminum entrances and brick restoration.
• Three sided vehicle access and storage for all 17 line trucks.
• A long-span skylight system brings daylight into open office and truck storage areas.
