Tecton is honored to have been recognized as a “Corporate Champion” of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters during their 51st Anniversary celebration.

As Connecticut’s largest volunteer mentoring network, Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, professionally supported matches between adult volunteers and children, ages 6 through 18, in 111 cities and towns across Connecticut. National research has shown that by participating in the program, children are:

• more confident in their schoolwork performance
• able to get along better with their families
• 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
• 27% less likely to begin using alcohol
• 52% less likely to skip school.

Tecton has been involved with the organization since 2012, with Ted Cutler, CEO of Tecton, serving as a board member and current chair of the Board Governance Committee.
