The Kelvin D. Anderson Recreation Center contains a pool, full-sized gymnasium, weight room, locker rooms, game room, community room and classrooms.  Replacing an existing outdated two-story facility, the new building provides an easily supervised main floor which houses all activities.  The Recreation Center was built in two phases to enable continued operation of the gym, game room and activity rooms during construction.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

• Additional use as emergency shelter was incorporated into design, with the addition of generators and ice storage for chilled water production during power outages or other emergencies.
• Estimated savings up to $50,000 per year thanks to high performance and energy efficient features.
