Pitney Bowes contracted Tecton to fast track the consolidation of their Connecticut operations into a Global Technology Center in Danbury, Connecticut. The project was designed and delivered within one year.

Tecton renovated 145,000 SF with new open lab environments, office spaces, collaborative team and project rooms. Wireless capability was upgraded in the entire facility and technology-enabled conference rooms and public areas were created. This project integrated employee spaces as well as lab environments, embracing the latest office trends in Agile and Lean work space design and optimal space technologies.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

• Innovations of Pitney Bowes are prominently displayed throughout the space, from their first postage meter (circa 1920) to their present day technological advancements.
• Mobile shared labs and “plug and play” environments created through use of overhead cabling and power systems to accommodate different equipment and processes.
• A welcoming reception area with a true “sense of arrival” was created by relocating parking areas and entrances.
