Global R&D Modernization

Rogers Corporation is an international company that develops and manufactures highly specialized polymer products. The company sought to refresh their aging facility in an effort to improve departmental efficiencies, attract new talent and improve brand recognition.

Tecton completed a 10-year master plan, reorganizing the entire 430,000 SF, 20+ building campus, with an eye on employee safety, physical building conditions, departmental efficiency and image. Following the master plan, Tecton designed the renovation of the Lurie Center R&D facility, transforming the vintage New England factory building into a modern “idea center.”

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

• High-profile lobby with “touch-down” stations, shear glass facade and terrazzo plaza reconnect researchers to visitors and begin linking the corporate campus.
• Circulation and intersecting nodes create impromptu, colorful, day-lit meeting spaces.
• Operational and energy efficiency updates bring the facility into the 21st century.
