Tecton Architects transformed an aged former health and fitness club into a new home for Today Media. The project focus was to create an environmentally friendly solution with a contemporary floor plan for the state-of-the-art publishing company. The new space has the feeling of a New York loft, open and flexible to encourage collaboration. The entire building is airy and bright – flooded with as much natural light as possible, even in interior and basement areas.

DESIGN HIGHLIGHTS

• Green elements include an energy efficient roof, cost saving climate control system, lighting with occupancy sensors, water-saving plumbing, and low VOC paint.
• Multi-purpose area is centrally located with flexible furniture (on casters and stackables).
• High-end commercial kitchen provides space for visiting chef demonstrations that can be live-streamed to their website.
