Tecton Architects, celebrating our 40th anniversary, is an established architecture and interior design firm working throughout the northeast, with licenses to practice in 15 states. Our firm is actively looking to scale our healthcare practice by building upon our expertise and portfolio while thoughtfully transitioning our healthcare team leadership. We are excited to invest in the future for our healthcare design practice and to provide the opportunity for the right person to join our team to refine the planning, recruiting and future goals from the start.

To this end, we are seeking a registered architect specializing in healthcare design to join our team, with opportunities in project management, design, leadership, and even a path to ownership. The starting position and path depend on the candidate.

Years of experience in the field and professional accomplishments may vary, but prerequisites for any candidate include:

• Architectural Registration;
• Understanding of healthcare design, regulatory and care delivery trends;
• Heightened involvement in the healthcare market;
• A passion to deliver impactful design solutions through a rewarding, technology-infused team experience;
• And an entrepreneurial spirit, always thinking beyond the project to maximize the client relationship and awaken hidden possibilities.
  
  

Tecton is prepared to assist with relocation costs as needed and is also willing to offer a variety of employment alternatives designed to support a life-work balance and general well-being. Alternatives include:

• Relocating to Tecton’s headquarters in Hartford, CT. Our new studio, currently under construction, is located in the historic Colt Gateway, a mixed-use development comprised of design-related neighbors and residential, commercial and retail spaces, including the Thomas Hooker Brewery. The 17-acre campus, within walking and biking distance of downtown Hartford, features 10 distinct buildings, all being restored to the National Park Service standards. The property offers beautiful, modern spaces where you can live, work, learn and play.
• Relocating near our Westerly, RI office, located in a boutique beachfront community with close proximity to several National Historic Register sites and within walking distance of a myriad of dining establishments.
• A combination of commuting to our headquarters, telecommuting, and working close to home to grow business in your existing network. Under the Tecton brand and with our deep bench, this alternative may evolve into a new branch office.
